Megan Currie Portfolio
Biography:
Megan Currie is a second generation Residential School Survivor and a 60's scoop survivor. She is a Dene woman and a member of English River First Nation. One of her first connections to her culture was through artwork. She was greatly inspired by the Native Group of 7. Her educational pursuits have taken her through Australia, Nova Scotia, Mexico and Regina. Global education, combined with her First Nation's background, provides her with a unique perspective on design that is evident in her techniques, styles and design process. Her work has been shown locally at places such as Sakewewak and The Crushed Grape. Megan has her Indigenous owned and operated graphic design and studio, they work with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses, communities, associations, educators, non-profits and all levels of government.
